You know how sometimes you take a job only because of how well it paid but then it turned out to be fun?

This is one of those rare times.

I was never into military stuff (even though my dad always raves about action films that go ‘pew pew’ and ‘boom’ the whole time to which I totally paid attention) So, it was kind of a challenge for me when I first took on this project. Lucky for me, the team was really supportive and we had a lot of good idea sessions.

Each illustration is referenced from an actual artifact / exhibit in the museum. One of the few challenges with this project is the Chinese font. It doesn’t have all the characters I needed so I had to channel CangJie 倉頡 (the inventor of Chinese characters) and go nuts on Frankenstein-ing parts of the already existing glyphs to make up the words. It was challenging, but it turned out pretty good and it was fun!
